Cookie Policy

What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. They help a website remember information about your visit, such as whether you are signed in, which preferences you selected, whether a payment flow is secure, and whether you already made a cookie choice. Stellar also uses similar technologies such as local storage tokens, browser storage, pixels, and server-side logs.
Some cookies are needed for the service to work. Others are optional and are used only with your consent, unless a law allows another basis. This policy explains the categories we use, the cookies currently expected, and how you can manage your choices. It applies to scotsolove.com and to Stellar product pages that link to this policy.
Cookies may be set directly by Stellar or by providers acting on our behalf. A provider cookie can be necessary even when it comes from a third-party domain, for example where Stripe checks payment fraud or Supabase maintains an authentication session.
Categories of Cookies We Use
- Necessary cookies are required for authentication, payment security, fraud prevention, preference storage, session continuity, load balancing, and basic platform operation. They cannot be disabled through our cookie banner because the platform cannot function properly without them.
- Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors use the platform, which pages are visited, which errors occur, and whether product changes improve reliability. Analytics cookies are set only with your consent.
- Marketing cookies are used to measure advertising campaigns, attribution, audience performance, and similar promotional activity. Marketing cookies are set only with your consent.
We do not use optional cookies to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We also do not use optional cookies to sell personal information.
If you reject Analytics or Marketing cookies, the core service remains available, but we may have less information for debugging, campaign measurement, and product improvement. Your choice does not disable necessary security, billing, or authentication records.
Cookie Table
- __stripe_mid: Provider Stripe. Category Necessary. Purpose fraud prevention and payment processing. Duration 1 year.
- __stripe_sid: Provider Stripe. Category Necessary. Purpose fraud prevention session tracking. Duration Session.
- sb-access-token: Provider Supabase. Category Necessary. Purpose authentication session. Duration Session.
- sb-refresh-token: Provider Supabase. Category Necessary. Purpose authentication refresh. Duration Session.
- stellar_cookie_consent_v1: Provider Stellar. Category Necessary. Purpose stores your cookie consent preferences. Duration 12 months.
- _ga: Provider Google Analytics. Category Analytics. Purpose measures platform usage; only set if you consent to Analytics cookies. Duration 24 months.
- Marketing pixels: Provider third-party advertising networks. Category Marketing. Purpose campaign attribution; not set unless you consent to Marketing cookies. Duration varies.
Cookie names, providers, and durations may change as browsers, security requirements, payment providers, analytics products, and hosting infrastructure change. Where a change materially affects your choices, we will update this table and ask for consent again where required.
Session durations can also end sooner if you sign out, clear browser storage, revoke access, change devices, or if we invalidate a session for security reasons.
The table is intended to be practical rather than exhaustive at browser storage key level. Some providers may set additional technical cookies during payment, authentication, fraud checks, or security screening where those cookies are necessary for the requested service.
Global Privacy Control
We honour the GPC, or Global Privacy Control, browser signal as an automatic opt-out from Analytics and Marketing cookies. If your browser sends a GPC signal, we will not set non-necessary cookies. Where GPC is active, it overrides a prior optional cookie choice for that browser unless you later disable the signal and choose different preferences.
GPC settings are controlled by your browser or extension. We do not control whether your browser supports the signal, how it displays the setting, or whether it sends the signal consistently across devices. If you use multiple browsers or devices, you may need to set preferences separately for each one.
Managing Your Preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Manage cookies" in the site footer. This reopens the consent banner and lets you accept or reject optional categories. Necessary cookies remain active because they are required for account access, payment flows, security, and storing your preference.
You can also control cookies through your browser settings. Blocking necessary cookies may cause sign-in, billing, project saving, or generation workflows to fail. If you clear browser storage, Stellar may ask you to set your cookie preferences again. Your choice applies from the time it is recorded and does not undo earlier lawful processing.
Third-Party Cookie Policies
Our service providers may use cookies or similar technologies when they deliver their services to us. For more information, see Stripe at stripe.com/privacy, Supabase at supabase.com/privacy, and Vercel at vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy. If we add or remove providers in a way that materially changes cookie use, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for consent again.
You can ask questions about this policy or your consent record by emailing support@scotsolove.com. We may need to verify your account before discussing account-specific cookie or session information.
